new reviews and marketing inroads

OREGON FEVER, the anthology by Charles Deemer has been appearing in many of the main line and smaller book stores in the greater Portland area as well as in other parts of the region Latest news review was by Dan W. Hays, book critic for the Statesman-Journal in Salem,Oregon. The article appeared Sunday December 26, 2004 in the Northwest Book section pages of the newspaper. Here quoted in part :
" Here is a special treat for people who still miss The Oregonian's late, lamented Northwest Magazine," writes book critic, Dan Hays."The book contains 28 essays 18 writers who graced he pages of that Sunday magazine.....All these pieces are sharp, insightful and valuable. Surprisingly, none of them are dated. Come to think of it , this book is a treat for just about anyone."

In addition, almost 100 book stores and outlets will or have received advance releases of the book as well as a copy of the first newspaper review of the book by The Oregonian's book staff.
The retail stores receiving the material are located in southern and eastern Oregon. More than 50 of the mailings went to book stores in western Washington and parts of eastern Washington.
Review copies will be mailed this coming week to major daily newspapers in Oregon and Washington. The initial mailings of reviews copies have already gone to newspapers, TV and radio stations in the greater Portland area.
